A few new Franken polishes I mixed up...

A deep bloody red with lots of red glitter. "Cocktails with The Viking"...thanks to my True Blood group for helping me with the name.

A light pink base with an assortment of glitter colors. Hubby helped me think of the name "Birthday Girl". Or "Sookie" :)

Clear base with mainly silver and blue glitters of all sizes and shapes. This one doesn't have a name yet...Thinking "Satellite" maybe...Or "Lafayette"...another TB reference.

Red base with red, green, silver, and gold glitter. This is also unnamed right now. Obviously, it needs to be something Christmas-y.

Have you ever made a Franken polish? How did it turn out?

LA Colors Live, China Glaze Haute Metal and Oxidized Aqua

I love this mani. It reminds me of cotton candy. If the blue was a chocolate color, it would remind me of vanilla/strawberry/chocolate icecream. Mmmm

LA Colors Live (#571, silver)...base color
China Glaze Crackle Haute Metal...light coat starting about 1/3 of the way down the nail.
China Glaze Crackle Oxidized Aqua...on the tips.

I hate that LA Colors only has the number on the bottle. The color name was on the packaging. So, I try to remember to write the name down when I get a new bottle. In the lower right, you can see I just wrote it on a piece of paper and used clear packing tape to hold it on.

A little bit of everything on my nails

I got bored with yesterday's mani. I ended up adding a coat of China Glaze Crackle Oxidized Aqua and a bit of Wet 'n Wild Fergie New Year's Kiss.
The W'nW is pretty but it's hard to get the holo bar glitter out and onto the nail without fishing around for it.

Crappy night time pic. :-/

Blue Me Away! and Teal of Fortune

Sally Hansen Blue Me Away! - stained the crap out of my nails. Even with a base coat.
Wet 'n Wild Teal of Fortune - the brush on this one was crap. But, the color is lovely.
It is hard to see the teal shimmer from the Teal of Fortune in the photo but it's there and makes the overall color a pretty teal blue.

Kiss Nail Strips

I liked these but had trouble making them fit. My nails are not very wide, so I had lots of huge strips left over. Maybe I will do a pedi with those. Also, I used clear polish on the free edge to hopefully help seal them to my nail.
What I didn't like was having to file the edges of the strips. It felt like I was filing my nails down too. It took a bit of pressure to get through the strip.
Like I said, I like these, but...just not something I would do often.
The package says these can last up to 10 days...we will see how well they hold up for this mom of three who is always cleaning something and picking up toys!

Revlon Moon Candy: Moon Dust

Revlon Moon Candy: Moon Dust
It turned out really pretty IRL. But, for some reason I'm just not completely happy with it. I think I should have gotten one of the other colors like I had planned to. I still plan to try the flakies over a different color polish.
Not the greatest pics. It was cloudy and we had tornado warnings. boo.
